
The Right to Participate for Change Project
Focused on refugees
and displaced people support and empowerment (with a particular emphasis on
women: rights, gender roles, GBV, peacebuilding role), this program targets
both civil society activists inside Syria and refugees groups in Lebanon to
build their awareness on citizenship and gender rights.
The project is based
on the theory of change that if women are empowered through skills and
opportunities in social development, and operate in a more gender-sensitive
environment, then they can play a greater role in mitigating conflict and
promoting resilience within their community. As such, the project’s approach
has been designed to respond to both a Social Program element and Political
Program element.
The program is
